Special feature:
The use of four-conductor cables to transmit large amounts of power in a 400 Hz grid results in voltage asymmetries and larger inductive voltage losses. These unfavorable cable characteristics can be improved through the employment of seven-conductor cables. In this case, the central conductor is used as a protective / ground conductor (green-yellow or blue) and six conductors with the same cross section (black with imprint) stranded in a single layer around the central conductor. Each pair of two opposite conductors is connected in parallel to a phase conductor.
